The Accessible Transport guide aims to help people with reduced mobility and their carers get around the Northern Rivers. Being able to travel for work, training, health care and going out is vital to your health and wellbeing.
This guide will provide you with information about transport services that may support you; it will also give you some tips about how to access them. You will find information about using different kinds of transport, such as taxis, community transport, buses, trains and coaches. You can find out what transport choices there are in your area and where to go to get more information about them. You might be able to get a concession card to lower the cost of travel and there is information about that here too.
Stop Announcer (NSW)
Stop Announcer (NSW) is designed to help customers with vision impairment navigate their way on public transport.
It has a clear, high-contrast display and is designed to work with the Android accessibility feature ‘TalkBack’ and iOS accessibility feature ‘VoiceOver’ to provide audio prompt announcements as customers arrive at bus stops, train stations, ferry wharves and light rail stops.
